We have a range of toys from buckets, snowball makers, and toboggans available for FREE to use during sessions.
We’ll reserve tables to fit your group so you have somewhere to place bags and shoes, put on skates, and to sit when taking a break from all the fun.
Our staff don’t just work here, they’re part of the ice sports community too, and all our duty managers hold First Aid certificates as well as current WWCCs.

Our Snow & Ice package lets you experience the best of both Ice Skating & Snow Play. We’ve combined our two best Public Programs with Schools, OSHC, and Community Groups in mind.
A fun, social activity where students of all skill levels can practice basic techniques like skating forwards, backwards, gliding, or trying tricks like slaloms and swizzles.
An interactive experience featuring real snow, props, and games. Students can build snowmen, race sleds, play with snowball makers, and participate in snowball fights.
A structured "Learn to Play" session led by qualified coaches. With no prior experience needed, students learn basic skating, puck control, and teamwork. We supply all safety gear, to take out the fear in falling over.
Schools & Community Groups can visit The Ice ArenA any weekday during School Terms. We have two session times available:

We have two session times available: Morning – 10:00AM to 12:00PM Afternoon – 1:00PM to 3:00PM Most schools tend to book for up to 2 hours and we find this is a good amount of time for most kids to enjoy all the different activities and it fits in well with lunch. If you require alternate timing, please email reception@theicearena.com.au.
At te Ice Arena we are able to accommodate all group sizes. You can bring a class or several classes, or split between morning and afternoon sessions and bring multiple year levels.
Private bookings are available for an additional fee upon request.

Adelaide Ice Magic has 4 competitive The Falcons Ice Hockey Club are the only club that have a para ice hockey team in Adelaide.
The Falcons are one of 5 clubs that make up the senior local league in South Australia and one of 3 Clubs remaining since the leagues' inception. We currently have 4 teams representing the Club, one team in the C Grade division, two teams in the B Grade division and one team in the A Grade division.
Broomball is accessible to all since skating skills aren’t required.
Broomball is a sport similar to ice hockey but with notable differences.
Leagues vary from competitive to social, with teams for men, women, and coed players.
We’re currently taking expressions of interest. The sport offers different skill levels, culminating in national and world championships.
Your safety is our first priority when you come to The Ice Arena, we want everyone to leave with a good experience of their time with us. We aim to minimise risks by maintaining the venue and facilities as best we can, The Ice Arena is over 40 years old after all, as many of our Adelaide locals will know.
With any sport or form of exercise, there are inherent risks, and it is a condition of entry that students, teachers and volunteers follow all directions from our experienced staff. We recommend for every 10 children that 1 teacher or supervisor accompanies on the on-ice activities. You’re also welcome to approach our staff for advice and tips too. We love this place and we want you to love it too so we’re more than happy to help with skating advice.
Everything you need to know before your first visit to Ice Arena
Yes, discounted rates apply for groups of 10 or more, including skate hire. When one person pays for the group of 10 or more, the rate reduces to $19.50 per person.

The Ice Arena is located on James Congdon Drive, across from
Thebarton tram stop, just outside of Adelaide's CBD.
We also have underground public parking operated by Wilson Car Park.
