It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing that allows lots of movement, with layers you can take on and off easily. The Ice ArenA is cold and you will want warmer layers while off the ice which can be removed during class as you warm up. We also recommend gloves as fingers get cold.
You are welcome to wear any protective equipment if it makes you feel more comfortable but Skate School classes are a slower pace for learning. Some popular items are skate helmets, wrist brace/guards, volleyball knee pads (these allow for the full range of motion required in ice skating, please avoid rigid “skating” knee pads) and those at higher levels may wish to invest in a pair of padded pants/shorts.
Don’t forget to bring water.
